I have put these shoes through its paces. I use them for walking, as my knees do not allow me to run. I have put over 75 miles since I bought them. It took a little bit to get used to them not having as much padding as other walking shoes. These shoes shine when you need to tackle very different terrain types in one session.I was in Veracruz, Mexico last week and took these shoes with me. I wore them to walk all over the city. They were very comfortable for long hours in the hot and humid climate of the area. One of my trips took me between walking on asphalt, walking on dirt, and walking on a hanging bridge. The first long session was at the Hernan Cortez property. The next place I walked through was the ruins at Cempoala, which are close to the Hernan Cortez house.I averaged about 9K steps per day last week. These shoes are my most favorite trekking/walking shoes. I also got the light gray ones. The lace all the way down the toe box is a great thing, as it lets me adjust for different sock types. I have used them with thick wool socks, regular tube socks, and the ankle types. The only con, which is cosmetic, is that men's version does not have more colors. Women's version has colors only available to them. These shoes are great and I do not particularly like using my other walking shoes anymore. These are great when tackling multiple terrains on the same trip. I would not recommend them if you are walking on asphalt all the time.
