It smells a bit like Vanilla which my dog didn't mind. I like the rubber material which is similar to Kong puppy bone. However my dog could not properly chew on this. She only nibbled at the edge then lost interest. This is 1 1/2" thick. Unfortunately too big for my dog's mouth. I wish I had scrolled down more to see another reviewer saying it was too big for their 6lbs terrier. I'm thinking about slicing it in half to make it thinner. We'll see.
