Okay to start I ordered the wrong one which turned out to be a great mistake. Very roomy and it was easy to assemble. The only thing is there is no hole in th lid to lock it.DELIVERED RIGHT TO MY DOOR BY AMAZON: The entire assembly snaps together in just a few minutes. Just like a kid's toy. No tools or bad language needed. This sure beats buying one of these from Home Despot and having to drag it home yourself.I purchased this item because 1) it matched the smaller deck box/seat I bought; 2) I needed something large enough to store camping chairs for parties we have in the back yard and an electric blower/vac we use to move leaves off the back deck to keep from having to lug it from the garage every time we want to use it.First, the pros: It is large enough for all of the above items. I put in about four camping chairs, the blow/vac, and there's still some room for other things. It was easy to put together (literally in a snap...but READ THE DIRECTIONS for the order of the snapping together or you may be sorry), and it is sturdy enough for almost anyone I know, big or small, to sit on top of it as a seat (although it is a bit taller and most will have to dangle their feet off the edge). The negatives: Biggest is the way the lid closes. To say it is not waterproof is an understatement. I can literally see a gap between the closed lid and the base, and it doesn't always want to return to the same position when I close it, so I have to fiddle with it just to get the top and bottom to "synch". I can imagine bugs will eventually make their way into the box for this reason. Also, as someone else mentioned, it needs to sit pretty far away from the wall, even when the lid is at a 90 degree angle, so when measuring if this box works for you in the space you have, include an extra 3-5 inches from the wall in your measurements. And as it is a relatively big box, after I assembled it, I ended up having to move it off of our pretty good sized back deck and into the grass against the fence (where it is now getting watered by our sprinkler heads, making that gap that much more noticeable). I'm probably going to have to enclose everything in garbage bags to keep them from getting too much water. So summary: nice sized box that fits quite a bit of stuff, but you may want to think about another option if you want everything to be in a sealed container. I think it would work great to store things that otherwise would look "junky" in your yard, and that you don't mind having occasional bugs and occasional water seeping in, like firewood, camping chairs, seat cushions, boating or pool supplies.I used this outside for several years. IT covered everything and protected them from wind, rain, dust, dirt, leaves . . . you name it. When I say "everything," I'm including delicate glass vases, nice table cloths, parcel post boxes, and a variety of miscellaneous items that ended up stashed outside. Spiders did NOT get into this. Nor did tiny animals or anything else. It is just plastic, but it's durable and heavy enough not to blow around in heavy wind. It is huge == about as long as some bath tubs and not quite waist high on me (I'm 5'6"). Now that I have moved, I'm using it for storage in our new, huge garage. Since we live in a fire area, I'm thinking of putting my family treasures and important documents inside so that if there is a fire we can just hoist this into the back of the van and take off. It doesn't appear there's a way to lock it, but I'm not putting anything into it that other people would want to steal, anyway. Just stuff that needs protection from the elements. No, it would NOT protect anything from a fire, but two people could lift it into a car and you can put a lot of things in there. It has a shelf inside for smaller things that could get lost in the depths of it. It also would be good near the beach, or for barbecue equipment that could rust. The color was nice and the top looked like it would be waterproof but it does NOT assemble as easily as they claim and it is not sturdy or rugged. Box it arrived in appeared to have been opened and taped shut. After looking into several Patio storage option available i zeroed in on this one because this one has lots of storage space, looks sturdy and another plus is the seat. I looked into those which look like Bench but they can not match the storage space of this box, which is the main reason for buying it. Received in less than 48 hours from Amazon, which is great free shipping form amazon. Putting together was easy, just took 15 minutes. You need to push the part real hard so that it snaps into place, no tools required. It looks sturdy, we tried seating on it, it could easily handle our weight (280 pounds). I noticed that the lid does not close properly on one side, there is less than a centimeter gap. If you put some weight or sit on that side then it will snap in place but again come back after you get up.I left it like than on the patio and we had very heavy rain tonight, checked in the morning and there was not a single drop inside.Called the customer service number that came with the product and told them about the gap. Without asking any question they just shipped me new lid. I will wait and see if the new lid fits properly and update this review. Whatever the case may be i am going to keep this box, i like it. It is definitely going to make my life easier by having necessary garden supply, cordless sweeper etc. Also color looks cool on the cement patio.Nice box. I put my Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm-Flailing Tubemen in this box when not in use at my car dealership! No more leaving them laying around like a bunch of amateurs!Does the trick for our deck at the lake. Would purchase again.Good quality, goes together easily. Use in on my boat to store life jackets etc.this was the biggest outdoor box I could find and it was easy to put together and works great.
