He wouldn’t play with it to get food out but it does what it advertisesLet me start by saying it’s amazing and it holds my Kitten’s attention and does the job. The antenna keeps falling and he plays with it as a separate toy. Is it worth the price? No. Find a cheaper option because it’ll do the same jobGood product.This is a solid cat toy that can easily be around for years.. nothing weak or, flimsy about its construction. Even if wire appendage has seen better days- this could be replaced as, the base will go the distance! (something rarely said about any pet toy!!) *I do wish this was sold with an “extra wire appendage or two” a simple add-on to save finding a future replacement. *Note to Seller: it would go a long way for buyer to include a backup when needed..!!The idea with this is to take the energy and focus from an otherwise rambunctious and inquisitive cat.. and give them a way to expel this pent-up behavior for good instead of evil! Hopefully giving cat owner a little peace and quiet!! It’s not voodoo- but, with a little catnip it may be pretty close ha..!!Love this has a solid base designed to function like a “weeble-wobble” of old. So, as cat plays creating motion in the toy itself- The natural laws of gravity will bring this toy back around.. thus, circulating the 2 balls on the track.. This is where I notice the cat becoming perplexed with the concept- leaving them to play and try to figure out. Just when they think they’ve seen it all.. a tiny treat is produced which Im sure does feel like magic or Voodoo to a cat!! *Note: toy can be used without treat providing the same entertainment just not dispensing any reward.. But, if it’s never introduced they're none the wiser! You can control ease/difficulty which a treat is to be released… opening is adjustable- you are also responsible for providing the treat!Great find for anyone who has an active kitty.. this will create physical and mental stimulation for years to come! So I came up with the great idea to wear them out before bedtime so I might be able to get some sleep. This works great - it not only gives them physical activity but it makes them use their clever brains. I've always found that challenging a pets' mind is just as effective as physical play to wear them out and this food dispenser (I put their kibble in it instead of in a bowl) works great for that goal.My cat enjoys it when the treats come out a lot quicker. It gets difficult and les and less come out once there are less treats inside. My cat is a little dum dum so it’s still taking her a bit to realize she should play with it more aggressively or even hold and move it while laying down… but she doesn’t. Super cute to watch her try though
